logos

So as you may have noticed from a few posts back, I've been working with OrangePeel Software. I did their logo and business card the way they wanted it, and needless to say, I don't like it, so I'm redoing it, and without being TOO cheesy, this was the first decent idea I came up with.

Cake!

I'm so bogged down with Christmas stuff... and as you know, being the artist, if I just BUY something and slap a label on it, suddenly, I don't "love" the recipient enough to put my creativity in it. It's a double-edged sword... it's generally good because I don't have to spend as much money, but it takes up SO much time. So also being swamped in Xmas stuff, I forgot it's my Gramma's birthday tomorrow! I feel so bad that I forgot, but she's a fairly computer savvy lady, especially considering she just turned 85! So I figured making her an e-card would sort of be a compliment to her... So this is it and her "real" present will head down with the family when they go to Florida over the holidays. Yay!

The Doctor is in!

I was working on an illo last night. I forgot that I used to actually draw and paint just for fun, and this little ditty popped into my head. Only took 2 and half hours, was done entirely in Photoshop (no pencil sketch- woo! go me!) and wasn't originally supposed to be fan art... but hey, who can deny the sexiness? Enjoy!

Sewing MADNESS

So, I've kept meaning to post some things, but I've been so busy sending out resumes and getting my sewing projects done, that this has fallen by the wayside. With Dad's Birthday done and Anime Crossroads over, I get a breath before I jump into Christmas stuff... yay!Dad wanted a Vest for his birthday to use when hiking and traveling. So it needed lots of pockets. You can sort of see the 4 on the front, the normal side-pockets where his hand is, and then 2 secret inside pockets so it's harder to be pick-pocketed. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I'm no professional, but I get a little better with each project I do! :D
Anime Crossroads. I got my Dr. Girlfriend done awhile ago and though the boots weren't right (I like to go to Halloween stores the week after Halloween to get stuff 75% off, but this year they were only open the SUNDAY after... so needless to say, I didn't get my gogo boots and had to borrow my Mom's snow boots, which... work... but I want those gogo boots! ...Even though my calves are too fat to fit in them... -_-) but I think it looks pretty good! I even found a guy (Frank) to go as 21! So, we threw his costume together in a week- 28 hours to be specific... and yes, we DID make the butterfly belt buckle, but it popped off... so deal.

Enjoy some of the hilarity that ensued.

Late Halloween

I had the least thrilling Halloween I think I've ever had, and it's my favorite holiday! Come on! I worked, passed out candy to maybe 5 trick-or-treaters, didn't bother to dress up, and tried to fix a broken internet/router combo. Needless to say, my pumpkin was done days before and turned out pretty good, I must say. Here's the outcome:
And here was the "stencil": I DON'T OWN THIS IMAGE. NINTENDO DOES. Please don't sue me for being a fan girl on Halloween!

OPS Business cards

After several attempts at a business card for OrangePeel Software, this is what we've decided on. I'll be presenting it tomorrow night. Note that the lining around the letters won't be so prominent... it was just one of those side-effects of when you scale something down and flatten it... but you get the 72 dpi idea.
